Bologna honors the drivers of the city’s growth: Bologna Ambassador returns

The most important annual event for Bologna’s MICE community is back: on 21 April 2026, the eighth edition of the Bologna Ambassador Awards will take place in the stunning Cappella Farnese at Palazzo d’Accursio.

The event celebrates the professionals who, over the past year, have contributed to attracting congresses, events and new visibility opportunities to Bologna at both national and international level, strengthening the destination’s positioning and supporting its scientific, cultural and economic development.

The evening will open with a discussion on the growth of the city’s meetings industry, featuring leading institutional speakers: Matteo Lepore, Mayor of Bologna; Mattia Santori, President of the Bologna-Modena Tourist Territory; Maria Letizia Guerra, Delegate for Public Engagement at the Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna; and Daniele Ravaglia, President of Bologna Welcome Foundation.

This will be followed by the award ceremony for the 13 new Ambassadors. The evening will conclude with an elegant cocktail reception in Sala Tassinari, on the ground floor of Palazzo d’Accursio, offering a valuable opportunity to strengthen relationships and share industry experiences.

Once again, the Bologna Ambassador Awards will bring together professionals and institutions to celebrate the destination’s intellectual capital, a key driver of growth for the local MICE sector and the wider territory.
