The Municipality of Bologna has created a fund dedicated to the congress sector: Bologna Welcomes Events. It is an incentive plan aimed at stimulating the organization of major events in the metropolitan city of Bologna, involving highly qualified local suppliers. The fund is € 500,000 per year.
