STS Italy Conference 2023

The 9th STS Italy Conference will be held in Bologna at the Philosophy Department of the University of Bologna from June 28-30, 2023. The conference is organized by the Italian Society for Science and Technology Studies, in collaboration with the Department of Philosophy and Communication and the Department of Political and Social Sciences of the Alma Mater Studiorum.

The conference is aimed at scholars from Science & Technology Studies and related areas and is a meeting point to address issues that represent challenges for our planet, such as the technopolitics of adaptation to climate change and migration, science in the public interest in times of pandemic emergencies, and techno-metabolism in the current era.

The event includes more than 50 panels on a wide range of topical issues and controversies, delivered by expert international speakers. The goal is to design a world based on international, interspecies and intergenerational justice.
