IPFA/PEI 29th International Workshop

IPFA (International Plasma and Fractionation Association) and PEI (Paul-Ehrlich-Institut) are glad to announce the 29th International Workshop on Surveillance and Screening of Blood-borne Pathogens, which will take place 10-11 May in Palazzo Re Enzo.

The 29th annual IPFA/PEI workshop aims to provide a scientific programme of current and emerging microbiological risks of transfusion associated with blood components and Plasma Derived Medicinal Products (PDMPs), new technologies and approaches for mitigating such risks and assessment of potential emerging risks to the safety of blood supplies.

“Future Preparedness” for both threats and possibilities for their mitigation is an important feature of these annual workshops, and is best achieved when professionals with an interest in and responsibility for the safety of blood and PDMPs supplies work together. This workshop provides a unique opportunity for the attendants to learn, meet and discuss and to share experiences and find solutions and ideas for their countries and markets.

This international meeting routinely attracts delegates from more than 30 countries and features presentations from internationally recognized experts in their fields.
