XLIII SIFO National Congress

For some years now, a careful and punctual path of reflection on health needs, on the qualitative change of the National Health Service, on the profession of Hospital Pharmacists and on the relationships with other health professionals and with citizens and patients, has been leading SIFO (Italian Society of Hospital Pharmacy and Pharmacy Services of Health Authorities) to play an increasingly central role in Italian health care.

We know that the PNRR, with an overall vision that aims to overcome the gap between hospital and territory, and with so many resources put in place from an economic-financial and planning point of view, cannot be the chimerical "panacea of all ills": the Plan needs reference values in order to reach the best expression of its innovative potential. Therefore, SIFO reflection has focused, in the run-up to Congress 2022, precisely on the values that can be a reference for all decision-makers and all players in this challenging and delicate phase. What are these values? What are the areas on which we absolutely must root the foundations of that construction allowed by the PNRR?

The three reference values of the XLIII national event have been identified as "Clinical, Ethical, Managerial." The goal of the meeting is to build on strong and scientifically unassailable clinical values and processes, refer to crystal-clear professional ethics and rely on effective and shared managerial qualities in order to transform the PNRR into an opportunity for tomorrow's health.

It will be Bologna, a city of extraordinary cultural and academic tradition, the venue for this challenging in-depth discussion, more specifically the Palazzo della Cultura e dei Congressi, from October 27 to 30.
